Voice SEO: Everything You Need To Know

When it comes to SEO, we’re currently experiencing a voice search revolution. With Siri on our phones and Google and Alexa in our homes, more and more of your customers are using voice search to find you, or your competitors.

50% of ALL online searches will be Voice searches by 2020

With consumers admitting that after a voice search 28% will ring the business and another 27% will visit the brand’s website, you need to ensure that you can be found online.

With this in mind, how do you ensure that you are driving more calls and customers to your site with voice search?

1.Voice searches tend to be longer than written searches. So, optimise your titles with long tail keywords to ensure that you can be found.

2. Voice search keywords are different from traditional text searches. Therefore, research these and ensure that you are using them in your titles and FAQ sections.

3. Local SEO is often determined by the success of your voice search optimisation. Ensure that once Siri has found your business there is a phone number, website and address. This way customers can easily ring or visit you. Also, add “near me” to the titles of your web pages as this is a common phrase that voice searchers are using.

4. Finally, analyse the type of calls you receive from voice search. Are they active parties? If voice search isn’t attracting the right kind of customers or isn’t giving enough information to whittle down these leads then rethink your ad campaigns or add more detailed FAQs to your website.
