Is Your Website Easy To Navigate?

If you want to keep your customers on your website, so they become loyal customers you need to ensure your website is easy to navigate. But how do you know if your website is easy to navigate?

1. Do You Have A Clear Menu Bar?

One thing we find with our clients is that their customers aren’t staying on their sites because their menus aren’t clear or are too cluttered.

Ensure that customers can find what they need on your website by creating a navigation menu bar with no more than 6 key headings. This can be an “About Us”, “Contact” and “Products” section for example. The more tabs, the more your customers will find it harder to find what they’re actually looking for and will leave your website to go to a simpler competitor site.

2. Do You Use Keywords?

Keywords don’t just improve SEO, they also ensure that your customer can find exactly what they’re looking for, making your site easier to navigate. Create a search bar tool on your homepage so your customer can quickly type in their search query and find the page they’re looking for.

The search and keyword function improves your SEO and ensures your customers have the easiest journey through your website. This keeps customers on your site and buying your products for longer!

3. Does Your Site Have An FAQ Section?

FAQs are great for improving voice-search optimisation, as we’ve already previously discussed. However, they’re also a great way for your customers to navigate your site. Your customer can go to the FAQ section, find their question and resolve their problem. However, if you also add a link to a product page that would further help them, this can also improve your website’s navigation.

This way customers have a clear link and journey to follow on your website, ensuring that they stay online and choose your useful website over your competitors.
