Instagram has begun trialling a new sticker update for the Instagram Stories format. The ‘Quiz’ sticker, much like the polls or ‘ask me a question’ feature, has been created to encourage user interactivity.
The quiz stickers allow followers to answer a multiple-choice question and therefore, could be a useful marketing tool for brands. Companies could generate excitement for a product release or gather user feedback via their Instagram stories.
Instagram stories currently have over 500 million people using the format every day. With Facebook saying that ‘Stories are the future of social sharing’ this update could become an influential marketing tool.
Back in 2016 Instagram released their first, very simple sticker, the smiley face emoji. This sticker added context to your posts, and since then stickers and interactivity on the app have increased.
